Earlier, Shah Rukh’s upcoming Rahul Dholakia film Raees had landed in trouble with social activists who were protesting outside the film sets. The film also ran into location problems due to not getting required permissions. The latest in line is a legal suit from the son of the alleged gangster that Khan is bringing to life onscreen. The film has Shah Rukh playing a character inspired from Abdul Latif who apparently ran the illicit liquor business in Gujarat during the peak of Prohibition in the 1990s.
However, the film has now run into big trouble as Latif’s son Mustak Ahmed Abdul Latif Shaikh has sent legal notices to nine prominent people involved in the film Raees, including the actors and Shah Rukh himself.
