Love & War Posters: Blockbuster Hype or Lazy Promotion?

Love & War posters spark mixed reactions

After a long wait, the first posters of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War are out now. Notably, the makers have revealed only a glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor, as he can be seen sitting in a car with a bloodied hand.

While Ranbir is looking forward in the first one, he looks directly at the camera in the other one. The posters have even confirmed the release date as January 21, 2027. But only time is going to tell if the film will arrive in time as expected or face more delays.

Meanwhile, the reactions to the poster have been a little different. There is no doubt that the glimpses have brought the film into discussion once again, and this means that the hype is increasing again.

Fans of Ranbir Kapoor have called it a blockbuster, saying that audiences can expect to see a new side of the actor this time. Some even said that Ranbir might take away the spotlight from the other two leads, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Others believe that Love & War might emerge as the highest-grossing film of SLB’s career.

On the other hand, a majority is also dissatisfied with the glimpses. Most of them said that the new glimpses are not even posters, and they are instead screengrabs from the film. A few even questioned the laziness of the makers, saying that they could have taken some time and created a better poster, with all three leads appearing in it.

Trade experts are praising the move, saying that irrespective of whether the posters are good or bad, people are talking about the film. However, they even advised the makers to continue bringing more assets from now onwards, which will maintain the hype that has been created with the new glimpses.

Love & War marks SLB’s return to the big screen after a long gap of five years. Now everyone is waiting to see if the talented director can deliver something new and extraordinary this time.
