Maatrubhumi Trailer: Can Salman Beat the Trailer Curse?

Salman Khan’s fans are eagerly waiting for Maatrubhumi to arrive on the big screen. The trailer has already been cleared by the CBFC, and the runtime has been revealed to be 4 minutes and 43 seconds.

After a long time, audiences will get to witness another long trailer. But questions are being raised about whether the movie will deliver in terms of content. This is specifically because previously, movies that had long trailers failed to leave an impression, except for Dhurandhar.

As of now, Maatrubhumi’s trailer has made it to the list of the top five longest Bollywood trailers. The first spot in this list has been taken by Singham Again, which had a runtime of 4 minutes and 58 seconds.

Rohit Shetty’s film is followed by Maatrubhumi, with 4 minutes and 43 seconds. Then there is Ramayana, with 4 minutes and 15 seconds. The last two spots have been taken by Welcome to the Jungle, with 4 minutes and 10 seconds, and Dhurandhar, with 4 minutes and 8 seconds.

Ramayana is currently running in theatres, and the response has been mixed. Singham Again failed to recreate the aura and intensity of the Cop Universe, and Welcome to the Jungle hardly had anything to attract the masses.

Although Dhurandhar proved that long trailers do not mean bad content, the same thing cannot be expected every time. Maatrubhumi has already faced a lot of hurdles. Netizens believe that after the title change and the other changes demanded by the authorities, it seems like the film has nothing special left to work at the box office and connect with the audience.

Salman Khan’s fans are still confident that Maatrubhumi will leave an impression, as the superstar is doing something different this time instead of appearing as a hero of the masses.

Viewers are now waiting for the trailer to be released online, and it will be interesting to see if Maatrubhumi delivers in terms of content and proves everyone wrong.
