Chief Minister Under Fire for Promoting Aamir Khan

A fresh controversy has erupted after Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis’ official social media accounts shared a post promoting Aamir Khan’s latest film.

Many people have expressed anger, questioning why a government account meant for public service is being used to promote a Bollywood movie.

Critics argue that the Chief Minister’s social media should inform citizens about governance, policies, and development not films.

Several social media users pointed out Aamir Khan’s past comments, where he called Narendra Modi a mass murderer long before any official findings.

They also accused Khan of mocking Hinduism through movies like PK and 3 Idiots, which they feel portrayed religious practices disrespectfully.

One user wrote they felt betrayed seeing a leader from the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj supporting Aamir’s film, calling it a disappointment for those who once looked up to Devendra Fadnavis as a strong nationalist voice.

Others questioned why the same leader who once fiercely defended Prime Minister Modi is now promoting someone who openly criticized him in the past.

Many users vowed to boycott the movie regardless of any endorsements, saying they wouldn’t watch it even if it were screened at the Prime Minister’s residence.

Comments on social media demanded that BJP Maharashtra and the CM’s office refrain from promoting celebrities they perceive as traitors or insensitive to Hindu sentiments.

This debate highlights growing frustrations among some voters who expect political leaders to maintain consistency in their stances and avoid supporting figures they believe have insulted their faith or leadership.
