Will Akshay Play Second Fiddle to Shah Rukh Khan?

Akshay-SRK Buzz for Main Hoon Na 2

Rumors of Main Hoon Na 2 have been doing the rounds on the internet for a long time. While nothing has been officially confirmed, a new report has grabbed a lot of attention on social media.

The report claimed that the sequel is happening with the return of Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. However, the biggest change is going to be the addition of Akshay Kumar. Notably, Farah has previously directed Akshay in Tees Maar Khan, which emerged as a cult classic despite being criticized in the beginning.

Akshay has also made a cameo appearance years ago in Om Shanti Om in an awards ceremony sequence. Considering that, the buzz for the potential sequel has taken a different turn on social media. Audiences are undoubtedly excited and are requesting Farah to announce the film if the rumors are true.

On the other hand, the report has raised a lot of questions at the same time. A majority asked if it will be possible to bring Akshay and SRK together for one film, specifically in today’s time where every actor is willing to shine and grab attention for himself in one film. Some even questioned if Akshay will play a second fiddle to SRK in case Farah decides to cast him in a role to similar to the one played by Suniel Shetty in the first film.

Netizens wrote that since Farah shares a close bond with the duo, she can convince them to work together. But people are expressing doubts that in case things happen as expected, the release might get delayed since Akshay already has multiple projects in production compared to SRK, who has preferred to focus on very little number of films in a few years.

As of now, netizens believe that SRK will be ready to work with Akshay. But the same people have requested Akshay to stop showing any kind of attitude in terms of his stardom and work with SRK. Most of them said that this can mark a comeback for him and in case he puts on all of his hard work and efforts, he might take away from the spotlight from SRK in the final product.

Meanwhile, it cannot be confirmed how long is it going to take for the film to materialize since the latest report is just a rumor. But audiences are confident that the discussion emerging from the rumor might force Farah Khan to rethink about the film and take in on floors.
