Diljit Dosanjh has surely made headlines after his recent concerts which electrified the internet. As he prepares to enter the acting realm once again after his hectic tour, fans awaited his scheduled release of Punjab ’95.
As the film was scheduled to release on 7th February, things took an uncertain turn recently as Diljit uploaded an Instagram story regarding the film’s future. Postponing the release to an uncertain date, the renowned singer informed that the film is on hold due to circumstances beyond their control.
“We are very sorry and it pains us to inform you that the movie Punjab ’95 will not release on 7th Feb due to circumstances beyond our control” shared Diljit Dosanjh in his latest story. This isn’t the first time that the film has been delayed testing the patience of fans.
The film earlier faced a lot of struggles with CBFC when they suggested the makers delete 120 scenes from the film which showcased sensitive content. Though the reason for the film’s delay has not been made official, fans are waiting for the makers to officially release the film as soon as possible.
The film revolves around Jaswant Singh Khalra, who was a human rights activist and is known for his actions against the injustice faced in post-independent Punjab. It includes massive killings of Sikhs during the 1990s and how Jaswant Singh tackled all these problems.
It remains to be seen when this Diljit Dosanjh starrer finally sets its sights on the theatres as fans have been waiting for the film to be released for a long time now.
