Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar are finally coming together for a film that will be a creature comedy. It will lead to a trilogy and apart from Karan, Mahaveer Jain will also serve as a producer of the film.
While Kartik and Dharma Productions have not announced the film officially from their side, sources have now revealed some details about the same. Insiders claimed that Kartik will reportedly fight snakes and he will portray a snake man himself.
The film is reportedly titled Naagraaj and Kartik has been cast for the lead role. Apart from this, the first look is also expected to be revealed soon. The film would also be directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, known for his work on Fukrey.
Naagraaj has reportedly entered the pre-production stage and filming is expected to start in September this year, aiming for a release by the second half of 2026.
A source also said that the makers are willing to explore a different genre this time since creature comedy has never been attempted in any other film in the past. Meanwhile, Kartik’s fans are eagerly waiting to witness the first look of the film when it is released online.
The film’s basic concept used to be popular at one point in Indian cinema. But it is a big question whether audiences would accept the film in today’s world.
In case the makers are aiming to get a big opening and become a big blockbuster, they have to produce it on a controlled budget, including the fees of the ones who are playing the lead roles. Let’s see if Naagraaj will leave a positive impression when it will release in theatres.
