No Buzz For 500-Crore Director’s Next!

Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2 unexpectedly turned out to be a blockbuster last year. It collected more than Rs. 500 crores, making the audiences eager to watch the director’s next film.

People have been eagerly waiting for Anil’s next film and the big news is that Zee Studios revealed the poster of his upcoming project, Vanvaas. The official announcement was made through the production company’s Instagram handle on Monday.

The poster featured Nana Patekar alongside Utkarsh Sharma with smiles on their faces. Notably, the duo were important parts of Gadar 2, with the former narrating the events.

Furthermore, a release date was added, which is December 20. The caption reads that the film is going to be an “emotional rollercoaster ride.”

Considering the success of Gadar 2 and the popularity of Anil’s films, audiences are expected to visit the big screen. But it can be clearly seen that there is no buzz.

There is no doubt that Anil is an expert when it comes to forming an emotional connection with the public. However, it is necessary to make everyone aware that there is a film on the way.

The marketing strategy of Gadar 2 was perfect, starting with the announcement that came out back in 2021. Anil has not followed the same format this time and it might backfire, repeating the failure of Genius.

Apart from all these, although Nana is a well-known face in the public, Utkarsh has yet to establish himself in the same position. This means that making a film with him in the lead is surely a risk.

But for now, we can say that the fate of the film will be decided on the day of release, which is only a month away.
