Poor Ratings for Controversial Hero’s Comeback Film

Bollywood controversial hero Sanjay Dutt’s comeback movie ‘Bhoomi’ hit theatres today and the opening reports on the movie aren’t so good. In fact, the movie has got poor ratings for the kind of cliched revenge story Bollywood audiences had watched many times, before.

Sanjay Dutt did a similar revenge story ‘Pitaah’ way back in 2002 and doing the same after 15 years didn’t make it a new concept. Like in ‘Pitaah’, in ‘Bhoomi’, a daughter gets raped by a goon and the father plans revenge on the rapists.

Only that, in the 2002 revenge drama, a nine-year-old gets raped and now in this present release ‘Bhoomi’, a grown-up girl is raped. Besides, Sanjay Dutt’s performance, there is nothing to talk regarding the film say the early reviews.

The nice thing about the movie is that the senior superstar plays a role that suits his age. There has been a couple of recent releases with similar premise aka ‘Maatr’ and Sridevi’s ‘Mom’.
