Top Stars in 2026: SRK As Expected, Salman Rank Shocking

The post pandemic phase has reshaped the Bollywood box office. Audience preferences have changed, and many films on random subjects are struggling to attract viewers.

Despite this shift, several major stars have managed to recover from difficult phases. Their recent releases have helped them regain strong positions at the box office.

At the top of the list is Shah Rukh Khan. His films Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki together earned around ₹2,669 crore worldwide, making him the leading Bollywood star in the post pandemic box office era.

The second position belongs to Ranbir Kapoor. Although Shamshera did not perform well, Brahmastra and Animal strengthened his market value. His combined collections have reached around ₹1,619 crore.

Ranveer Singh also appears high on the list. After setbacks with 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Cirkus, he returned to the spotlight with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. His overall box office numbers stand near ₹1,986 crore.

Veteran stars Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar have maintained a steady presence. Ajay Devgn delivered successful films like Drishyam 2 and Raid 2, while Akshay Kumar continues to face a difficult phase with several underperforming releases.

Sunny Deol also made a strong comeback. Gadar 2 emerged as a blockbuster, while Border 2 performed decently. Films like Jaat and Chup helped push his total collections to about ₹1,297 crore.

Actors Rajkummar Rao and Vicky Kaushal also delivered notable performances. Stree 2, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, and Srikanth added to Rajkummar Rao’s success, while Chhaava strengthened Vicky Kaushal’s position.

Kartik Aaryan also had multiple releases during this period. However, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 remained the major contributors to his total box office collection of around ₹991 crore.

The biggest surprise in the list is Salman Khan. Once known for massive weekend openings, the superstar has struggled with recent releases.

Tiger 3 managed to cross ₹300 crore worldwide, but its high budget limited profits. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan did not perform well, and expectations around Sikandar also fell short after its release.

The rankings reflect how dramatically the Bollywood box office has changed after the pandemic. Even established stars now face stronger competition and evolving audience expectations.
