Following the success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Ranveer Singh will return to the big screen with another solo project. The new film will be helmed by Aditya Dhar and as per the latest update, Sara Arjun will share the screen with the Gully Boy star.
Sara has previously appeared in many Hindi alongside Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films. She even portrayed the younger version of Nandini in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan.
While detailed information about Sara’s character remains unknown, she would play the lead role compared to her minor appearances in other films over the years. However, despite playing the lead, she would have a limited screen appearance in the upcoming project.
Furthermore, Sara’s casting has also led to some criticism, with people addressing the age gap between her and Ranveer.
The untitled film is going to be an espionage action thriller and Aditya has brought in a lineup of talented faces such as Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal as the supporting cast members.
According to reports, Ranveer will appear as an intelligence officer assigned to a mission in Pakistan. Production work for the film had already begun in July this year and the producers are planning to bring it to the big screen by the second half of next year.
