Akshay’s Bhagam Bhag 2 Director Takes Shocking Step

Director Raaj Shaandilyaa has officially ended his three film contract with Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures after a disagreement over the terms of their agreement.

Sources say the contract was signed in 2019. The deal required Raaj Shaandilyaa to direct three films for the banner, although the agreement was not exclusive.

The dispute reportedly intensified when the production house raised concerns about the director working on Bhagam Bhag 2. The upcoming film is expected to feature Akshay Kumar.

According to reports, the agreement allowed Raaj Shaandilyaa to take up projects outside Balaji Motion Pictures. However, the director allegedly felt that the production house’s communication was limiting his creative and professional opportunities.

Confirming the development, Raaj Shaandilyaa stated that he had issued a formal termination notice more than two weeks ago. He said the move was made in accordance with his contractual rights.

The director also mentioned that if Balaji Motion Pictures believes the termination has no legal basis, the company can approach a civil court. So far, no legal action has been initiated.

Raaj Shaandilyaa also addressed claims about alleged criminal accusations following the contract termination. He described them as exaggerated and baseless.

The filmmaker said he remains confident about his legal position. He added that he will respond to any allegations through the appropriate legal process.

Despite the dispute, Raaj Shaandilyaa confirmed that work on Bhagam Bhag 2 is continuing as planned. The film’s production schedule remains unchanged.

Meanwhile, another project linked to the original agreement is facing uncertainty. The third film titled Sonam Bewafa Hai is currently on hold.

Reports say Raaj Shaandilyaa submitted the final script for the film in September 2025. However, the project has not yet finalised a lead actor or signed a director agreement.
