As Raid 2 rapidly approaches its release this week, the Central Board of Film Certification recently conducted round 2 of the censor process for the film.
The first round was held back in March in which the board requested to delete some dialogues from the film and passed the film with U/A 7+ Certification.
The film’s runtime decided by the CBFC was 2 hours 30 minutes and 53 minutes long.
However, after conducting the second round on April 24, CBFC briefly removed 43 scenes from the film which might have hurt the sentiments of several castes and religions.
The makers removed around 16 minutes from the film and added 4 minutes of footage in exchange making the new runtime of the film to be around 2 hours 18 minutes and 57 seconds.
The film’s rating also changed to U/A 13+ from U/A 7+ due to the dance number Nasha featuring Tamannaah Bhatia.
As the first installment of the film collected over 100 crores at the box office, it remains to be seen if Raid 2 will be able to deliver on the same level or not.
