Mere Husband Ki Biwi had its official trailer launch recently. It is a Muddasar Aziz directorial backed by Jacky Bhagnani, it has Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.
At the trailer launch press event Rakul Preet had to meet some serious allegations. As she is the wife of producer Jacky Bhagnani, a reporter asked her if she made cuts on Bhumi’s scene to enhance her presence.
Mudassar laughed it off by saying she was not Jacky’s wife yet during the shoot. Even Bhumi took to her defence and said that they are like sisters and remained really close friends throughout the shoot too.
She feels that this idea of women not standing each other is a creation of evil men. Arjun jokingly highlighted that the two of them usually forget him when they are together, as they share such a close bond.
Rakul Preet stated that these allegations are baseless as their roles are well defined and she had no insecurities with Bhumi due to her close camaraderie. The film is supposed to be a fun filled laugh riot for the audience, the star power doesn’t seem that strong but the trailer was still liked by fans.
