The writer approached the High Court against the producers of the film for the copyright infringement of his story which was allegedly used for ‘Sarkar 3’, starring Amitabh Bachchan. The filmmaker also has to agree to give the title credits for the writer for the story.

Besides this settlement, the film is cleared by CBFC terming it as RGV’s best film in the recent days. But, CBFC had one apprehension. It wanted the filmmaker to remove a dialogue which had a reference to Hanuman, one of the main characters in ‘Ramayana’. Scared to instigate anger of one religious community, CBFC didn’t want to agitate religious sentiments.
