The film revolves around the story of a killer who was active around the mid 90s. Portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui with Vicky Kaushal as the cop chasing his tail, the killer wins the show with his dark and somewhat psychotic behaviour. But as the plot thickens, the film’s main focus is the cop’s state of mind, a deeper and more appealing turn in the movie.
Filled with clever dialogues and even smarter quips, the movie is excellent in terms of the actors’ performances with Nawazuddin easily stealing the show. However, the lack of a clear plot and the continuous confusion just dulled its overall brilliance. Nevertheless, the film does a decnet job as a thriller, what with all the violent killings and the eerie sounds in the background.
