Currently, the duo is shooting for their upcoming period drama ‘Padmavathi’. The director cum producer of the movie Sanjay Leela Bhansali has moved the sets from Jaipur to Mumbai outskirts. This place happens to be very close to the residence of Ranveer Singh.

To avoid commuting long distances and also save time for the makeup, Deepika is staying with Ranveer Singh in his flat, in an apartment. Ranveer Singh is playing the antagonist, Allauddin Khilji and Deepika the title role as Rani Padmini.

This period drama has created controversy of sorts when the Rajput community raised questions on the story that is going to be told on the big screen.
