Ranveer Rejects Nepo Heroines, Prefers South Beauties?

After the success of the Dhurandhar franchise, Ranveer Singh is gearing up for his next major project titled Pralay. The film has triggered intense discussions behind the scenes, especially regarding the female lead. Several actors are reportedly lobbying hard to be part of the project.

Following Dhurandhar’s success, Ranveer Singh has emerged as a strong box office draw. As is common in the industry, star kids were among the first to be linked to the project. Jahnvi Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were both speculated to be in the race.

Reports suggest that Jahnvi Kapoor was even open to playing a second lead. Despite these efforts, the makers have not finalised either name. Talks are said to have moved in a different direction.

Ranveer Singh is believed to have expressed a preference for a fresh pairing. He reportedly wants to be seen opposite a new face in Pralay. This approach has influenced the casting discussions.

The makers are now in talks with actors from the South film industry. Names doing the rounds include Kalyani Priyadarshan, Rukmini Vasanth, and Bhagyashri Borse. Availability is said to be the key deciding factor.

At present, star kids are reportedly not being prioritised. The makers appear keen on introducing a fresh face alongside Ranveer Singh. An official announcement is still awaited.
