Popular Southern Actress’s Surprise Ends In Failure

This week’s big release in Bollywood was the father-daughter Jodi movie Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga featuring Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. It was a bold attempt from the due as the girl here is shown to be a lesbian and loves another girl.

The interesting aspect here is that Regina Cassandra played the lover part of Sonam Kapoor. It was Regina’s first appearance in a Hindi film and that too in a controversial role. The critics have noticed her part, despite the less screen time.

Unfortunately, the bold love story is likely to be a failure at the box office. The openings have been extremely poor, and the subject is keeping away the families. What’s more, there is a strong alternative in the form of Uri – The Surgical Strike. All in all, even it would be a bit of tough luck for Regina in her maiden appearance in Bollywood.
