It seems the lure of cinema is simply irresistible, even for those who once took different paths. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, recently confirmed she’s filming Dadi Ki Shaadi with her mother and comedian Kapil Sharma.
At 44, and after a stint on Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives, Riddhima is yet another example of how the film bug bites when least expected.
She joins a list of star kids who initially stayed away from acting. Aditya Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor’s son, began acting at 51 after working behind the camera and exploring varied interests.
Similarly, Sonakshi Sinha trained as a fashion designer before Salman Khan spotted her potential and launched her in Dabangg. After that, we all know how the blockbuster debut started her excellent film career.
Tiger Shroff, once focused on football, secretly trained for films and surprised even his parents with Heropanti. Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, found acting through theatre, and later we all saw his acting skills in Maharaj (although the same couldn’t be seen in Loveyapa).
From what we can see, several people started their careers late in Bollywood and had their journeys going quite smoothly. But can it be said for everyone? That’s a question we leave to the readers!
