Rs. 90 Cr Loss for the Recent Mega Film?

When a big budget film tanks big time at the box-office, the plight of the makers of the movie becomes unexplainable. Here, we are referring to Bollywood mega budget period drama ‘Mohenjo Daro’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead.

According to the estimation of the trade pundits, the film suffered enormously, as much as Rs. 90 crores loss. The figure is indeed like a huge lightening struck on the face. For the kind of the star cast and technicians involved, one wouldn’t even imagine such poor figures.

Overall, the film could collect only Rs. 60 crores. Including the promotional costs, the total budget of the movie is said to be more than Rs. 140 crores. The recovery is very poor, without even coming close to 50% of the production cost. Right from the beginning, the film failed to garner any positive response from both critics and audiences.
