The attack on actor Saif Ali Khan has shaken the entire nation. With the police still not able to catch the culprit despite his face being clearly visible in the CCTV footage, critical questions are being asked regarding the method of investigation.
The intruder had entered Saif’s house, his son Jehangir’s room to be exact, early in the morning.
He was discovered by the housekeeper, who alerted the family about the intruder’s presence.
Saif got stabbed multiple times in a confrontation with the burglar as he rushed up to help the rest of his family downstairs.
Sources confirm that Saif himself came down with his son Taimur and the housekeeper to hire an autorickshaw to drop him at Lilavati Hospital.
The auto driver, who reportedly failed to recognise Saif at the moment, revealed that the actor was very calm and composed throughout the whole ordeal.
Dr Nitin Dange, a neurosurgeon at the hospital, confirmed the same, saying that the actor behaved like a ‘lion’ as he entered the hospital at 3.30 am.
Although the suspect was soon revealed thanks to CCTV footage, the Mumbai police have still been unsuccessful in nabbing him so far, highlighting their incompetence.
Authorities have confirmed that theft was the sole motive of the crime, with the perpetrator not being a member of any terror group.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has assured that the culprit will soon be caught by the police.
He said, “Police investigation is going on… they have got many clues, and I feel the police will soon zero in.”
Fans of the actor are calling for the police to get their act together and catch the criminal as soon as possible.
