Big Superstar Film Crushed by Star Kids Debut

In an era where success isn’t guaranteed even for superstar-led films, Mohit Suri’s upcoming Saiyaara is emerging as a strong contender, expected to surpass even big-banner projects like Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par and Akshay Kumar’s Kesari 2 and Sky Force.

According to trade analysts, Saiyaara pre-bookings saw an unexpected rise in organic numbers when some regions opened the pre-booking windows earlier than expected.

Additionally, many distributors also placed strong confidence in the film, impressed by the organic buzz it generated solely through its trailer and song releases.

Mohit Suri fans across social media also indirectly promoted the film by comparing it to his previous hits like Aashiqui 2 and Malang, creating edits based off the songs and trailer visuals, and overall heavily engaging with all of the film’s latest updates.

Critics and audiences across the internet are shocked at how a film that’s supposed to be the debut of two fresh faces, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is garnering more excitement than even big-budget films failed to gather.

The film is now projected to earn Rs 10–12 crore on its opening day, which is an impressive start, especially when compared to Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2, which is expected to open at Rs 8–10 crore.

Son of Sardaar 2 marks Ajay Devgn’s second release of 2025 after Raid 2, and critics online are debating whether his comedic timing in SOS 2 will counter the intense, dramatic persona he delivered in Raid 2.

In comparison to Saiyaara, SOS 2 has done a lot more promotions and public interactions with the stars but unfortunately hasn’t generated similar hype despite being a superstar movie.

Fans see Saiyaara as a refreshing break from the flood of high-octane action films that mainly target a niche audience.

With Mohit Suri at the helm, the film promises a steamy, emotionally layered romance expected to resonate strongly with younger viewers seeking more than just spectacle.

Will these nepo kids finally surpass their idols and make their own mark, or will the superstars prove why they hold the title? Only the fans can decide.
