However, many claim that this film could change the landscape of Bollywood forever and redefine how the industry operates.
But will it really redefine the industry’s future? Will it set a new template for films to get greenlit?
The internet has been buzzing with debates over this, and the verdict is clear: No.
If that were the case, all major South Indian films post-Pushpa 2: The Rise would have become pan-India blockbusters. But in 2025, none have managed to recreate the same magic.
After the success of Kabir Singh, one would’ve expected all love stories to rely heavily on chartbuster music. But that wasn’t the case either. It’s only now, with films like Metro In Dino, that music is getting as much recognition as the film itself.
If trends truly dictated success, then all big action films post the 500 Crore Club run of Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan, and Animal in 2023 would have comfortably crossed at least ₹200 crore, but that hasn’t happened.
Similarly, all socio-religious-political films post the 200 Crore Club successes of The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story should’ve earned at least ₹50 crore, but that hasn’t been the case either.
There are countless such examples floating online.
The truth is, there’s no fixed rule or formula for a successful hit. What the audience loves today, they may not care for tomorrow. Every film has its own journey and destiny. Some, like Saiyaara, turn out to be unexpectedly good, while others are casually forgotten.
There’s no guaranteed formula for success. Only genuine efforts get noticed and rewarded.
