Maatrubhumi Moves Closer to Release
Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi might arrive in theatres now that the major issues have been resolved. As per the latest updates, certain changes have been made to the film’s content to ensure that the rules are not broken and the film does not face any more delays.
The climax of the film is reportedly being reworked. The movie was facing objections related to certain portions, and all of them were reshot, specifically after the relationship between India and China took a positive turn.
As of now, the new version has already received an NOC from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. The final cut has been sent to the CBFC, and they are expected to take a call soon after watching the film. However, a potential release date has not been confirmed yet.
The biggest change to the climax will be an emphasis on the message of peace. It is now hinting that the movie won’t focus more on the India-China conflict and will come out as a war film in front of the audience, with a conclusion that will focus on peace and anti-war.
Although fans are happy and excited, they are also worried at the same time. Early reports claimed that the film will be released a week after Ramayana. Now the supporters are asking the makers to find some other date since clashing with such a big film will bring more losses and less recognition among the audience.
On the other hand, a few fans have advised the producers to avoid bringing Maatrubhumi to the theatres and release it directly on OTT. They said that the movie has already undergone multiple delays, and although such things create excitement for the film, there is no buzz right now for the film, which is expected to impact its box office numbers.
Trade experts are still confident, saying that the patriotic theme and the message in the climax might attract audiences. Some critics stated that Salman’s earlier films that did not work were routine action dramas that did not bring anything new out of the superstar, and Maatrubhumi might have something unique from Salman’s side.
With only two more months left for the year to end, the big movies have already locked their release dates, and in between that, Maatrubhumi might have to face a tough phase at the box office, even if the content is up to the mark. Now it remains to be seen whether the makers will choose a fresh date for 2027 or they will bring it out before the end of 2026.
