Now the biggest talking point is the Netflix logo on the poster. In a time where many are waiting for OTT releases is Sikandar giving them a reason to skip theaters?

Putting an OTT platform’s branding before a film’s release can have a psychological effect.

With ticket prices rising and home viewing becoming the norm a section of the audience may feel there’s no urgency to watch Sikandar in theaters.

While this doesn’t mean the film is in trouble it means the marketing needs to work harder to make it theatrical.

Despite all this Sikandar has everything to succeed. A.R. Murugadoss is known for making high octane action films and Salman Khan’s fanbase is one of the strongest in India.

His Eid releases always work and if the film has a good story and grand visuals audiences will turn up.

The OTT conversation is temporary what matters is whether Sikandar delivers the kind of mass entertainment Salman is known for.

OTT may change audience habits but Salman Khan is still a superstar. If Sikandar has a good story and high energy action the Netflix logo won’t matter.

Theaters will be full and the film will work. At the end of the day content is king and if Sikandar delivers it will be a hit no matter when it comes on streaming.
