Salman Khan’s Sikandar was released on Eid with high expectations on March 30, 2025. However, the film failed to leave an impression on the audience, including the die-hard fans of the superstar.
While the film’s declining collections have already raised concerns, the biggest problem right now is that the action-drama could not maintain double-digit figures throughout the week. The numbers kept on decreasing, and it has reached a point where an increase is impossible.
The major reason behind this was the negative reactions that were revealed to everyone through different platforms in a short period.
Notably, Salman’s previous film Tiger 3 managed to record double-digit figures for eight days, despite releasing on a Sunday like Sikandar. The same happened with another film in 2023, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, for almost four days, even though it turned out to be a flop at the end of its theatrical run.
A similar record has been made by Salman’s other films over the last few years, including Dabangg 3, Bharat, Race 3, and Tubelight. All the above-mentioned films were able to accumulate at least Rs. 10 crores even on the weekdays for a long time.
Now the big question is when will Salman Khan get back to his old form? It is clear that he is going wrong with the scripts, and it is the right time for him to listen to fan suggestions.
He has given flawless performances and characters that we remember until today. While fans are frequently begging him to take scripts similar to Bajrangi Bhaijaan or Sultan, it seems like the message is not reaching him for some reason.
