In a recent episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Salman Khan opened up with rare honesty about marriage, divorce, and alimony. A short clip from the show has now gone viral, sparking both laughs and debates online.
When Kapil jokingly teased him about never getting married, Salman replied,
Shaadi nahi ki, toh alimony bhi nahi deni padti.
The audience burst into laughter, and even the guests on stage couldn’t hold back their reactions. The comment, though made in a humorous tone, quickly caught attention for its underlying seriousness.
Salman went on to say that while marriage is a beautiful bond, it also demands maturity, patience, and compromise.
Aaj kal log jaldi shaadi kar lete hain, aur utni hi jaldi tod bhi dete hain, he added, striking a chord with many.
However, not everyone was amused.
While fans praised his honesty and wit, some people on social media trolled him for reducing marriage to a financial risk. A few critics called the statement insensitive, arguing that not all relationships should be viewed through the lens of divorce or money.
Still, many defended Salman, saying he was only expressing a personal opinion shaped by decades of watching relationships unfold in the public eye.
As the clip continues to trend, it has not only reignited interest in Salman’s personal life but also sparked wider discussions about commitment, modern relationships, and the reality behind celebrity marriages.
