The controversy surrounding Sardaar Ji 3 has taken a serious turn with the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) calling for a ban on all of Diljit Dosanjh’s projects.

It so happened that the trailer for the film was released a few days ago, only for the audience to find out that Hania Aamir is also a part of it.

The issue has erupted just weeks after the Pahalgam terrorist attack and India’s Operation Sindoor. While reports suggest the film was shot before the incident, Hania’s controversial statements post-Operation Sindoor, seen as anti-India, have angered many.

Many argue that the makers and Diljit Dosanjh should have addressed the issue head-on. A statement clarifying the timeline and distancing themselves from Hania could have helped ease the backlash.

Earlier, the makers of Sardaar Ji 3 also stated that it will not be released in India out of respect for public sentiment. But the silence from both the actors, especially Diljit Dosanjh, has only increased the outrage.

For the unversed, the singer and actor will also be seen in Border 2, a patriotic film co-starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and more. This upcoming film is reportedly a tribute to the Indian army.

However, Diljit’s involvement in a patriotic film like Border 2 now appears deeply contradictory to many. His continued silence over the Sardaar Ji 3 controversy has left audiences questioning his stance.
