Dhanush, Nag, & Rashmika’s Kubera: Bollywood Threat

Kubera, starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna, is set to release in theatres on June 20.

The film will clash with Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par.

While the target markets for both films are different, Kubera may be expecting some business in the North with its Hindi-dubbed version.

On the other hand, Aamir Khan has a loyal fan following in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and the Karnataka region.

The question is- will these two films, both carrying high expectations from the audience, impact each other’s box office performance? And if so, by how much?

Sitaare Zameen Par carries the legacy of the iconic Taare Zameen Par, and if it lives up to what the makers promise, there’s a strong chance it could affect Kubera’s business.

On the other hand, Kubera is directed by Sekhar Kammula, known for acclaimed films like Fidaa, Love Story, and Happy Days. He is considered a sensible filmmaker whose works are both artistically satisfying and commercially viable.

He enjoys equal appreciation from both audiences and critics.

There’s a good chance that Kubera might give Sitaare Zameen Par tough competition in the South.

Sitaare Zameen Par, being a remake of a Spanish film, also comes with its own set of limitations.
