Deva: Trade in Shock, Totally Not Expected!

Shahid Kapoor aimed to electrify the box office once again after his last blockbuster Kabir Singh.

With a hope of bolstering the box office, Deva looked strong with its early teasers and promos. Shahid’s screen presence looked deadly and fans were moved by the early teasers of the film.

As the film releases tomorrow at the theatres, it has sold approximately 10,000 tickets so far in terms of bookings.

While the numbers are extremely worrying, Deva’s luck solely depends on positive word of mouth. With such ticket sales, it might collect 6-7 crores on its opening day.

What was seen as a perfect hit at the box office is now struggling to make an impact on its first day.

As Bollywood is going through a rough patch currently, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava seems to be the only hope for a possible turnaround.

While Salman Khan’s Sikandar and Sunny Deol’s Jaat also seem to have a firm grip over the box office, Shahid’s Deva might not burst into a huge hit as of now.

Only positive word of mouth and spot bookings can save this action entertainer from getting diluted in the box office.
