Shaitaan 2 is being planned after the success of Shaitaan, which arrived last year. The ending of the first film left a lot of possibilities for a sequel, and a lot of ideas are being explored right now to ensure that the second installment becomes a bigger success.
Notably, the makers have yet to disclose more details related to the main premise of the film and the exact date when the filming begins.
Shaitaan was the remake of a Gujarati film Vash, which was released in 2023.
Surprisingly, a sequel to Vash was also planned, and it is arriving this year in August. However, it is yet to be confirmed if the makers of Shaitaan will adapt certain portions of Vash Level 2 for the sequel.
Shaitaan’s ending was also altered compared to Vash, and director Vikas Bahl once said that he wanted the film to have a happy ending. This means that Vash Level 2’s storyline will have a completely different take.
As per the latest update, the script for Shaitaan 2 has already been completed by Aamil Keeyan Khan, and it is an original storyline, which is not copied or adapted from other films.
On the other hand, Ajay is reportedly aiming to take the rights of Vash Level 2 if the film becomes a hit at the box office.
Whatever happens in terms of storyline of Shaitaan 2, the makers have to prepare the best promotional material for the sequel. The first part had an attractive trailer due to which people rushed to theatres to watch the film.
The first film did a business of more than Rs. 200 crores at the box office. The main reason behind its success was the limited budget and the makers of the sequel need to maintain the same for the upcoming film if they want it to become a bigger hit.
