Uncertainty Aside, The Biggie Ready To Shoot In Controversial Area

Unlike Telugu, where the makers of big films haven’t gone this route yet, the Bollywood is open to throwing a biggie under the bus if it is shaping up the worst way. In the recent past, two movies Drive and Shamshera have been in the news in this regard.

The film Drive is a Dharma Production starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez. The shooting of the movie has long commenced and also completed. The producer Karan Johar has been dissatisfied with the final product and is planning to have a direct digital release for it.

Similarly, it was heard in Bollywood circles a few weeks back that Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films is considering his films Sandeep Aur Pinky Farar and Shamshera to have a digital platform release. The latter is a Ranbir Kapoor starrer directed by the Karan Malhotra of Agneepath fame.

While the uncertainty regarding the platform of release continues, the unit is going to commence a new schedule in Ladakh. It will be the first biggie to shoot there post the recent political developments. Does this mean that the movie will arrive on the announced date “theatrically”? Otherwise, why would the makers go to the extent of shooting it uncompromisingly?
