Sikandar’s Most Important Date OUT: Make or Break?

The trailer for Salman Khan’s highly-anticipated film ‘Sikandar’ is set to release on 23rd March (Sunday), just shy of a week before the actual film comes out.

The trailer will prove to be a make-or-break situation for director AR Murugadoss, who has managed to keep the whole thing under wraps in a very hush-hush way for now.

Although the secrecy around the film has not worked to create the intended hype, it is expected that the public perception of the trailer will play a big role in the film’s opening performance.

Sikandar can manage a respectable opening collection of Rs.35-40 Crores if the trailer resonates well with the public. Things can go the other way as well in case it turns out to be yet another failed attempt to create hype.

There have been debates over the real reason for an attempt at creating this extensive hype. While some say it is to create a shroud of suspense around Sikandar, others believe that it is a desperate tactic by the makers to hide the half-baked nature of the film.

Director Murugadoss has come forward to reveal Sikandar to be the story of a husband and a wife with massive public support who decide to take on a political bigwig.

The release of a proper trailer will ensure that the public gets an idea of what the film is really about and whether it’s made well or not.

With the wait now just a couple of hours away, it will be interesting to see what kind of impact the trailer creates for the film, which is scheduled to be released just after a week.
