Sitaare Zameen Par is going to release on 20 June and with hardly 10 days left for its release, the makers are feeling the stress of the lack of buzz and a probable dull box office run. However, if insider reports are to be believed the film might have a flicker of hope.
The film is produced by Aamir Khan and directed by R.S. Prasanna. The lead stars are Aamir Khan and Genelia D’Souza, and there are several other well known names involved.
Many fans speculate that Darsheel Safary who rose to fame with Taare Zameen Par might make a cameo in this film. This spiritual sequel is a Hindi remake of the Spanish film Campeones and fans seemed quite disappointed with Aamir’s repeated use of remakes and adaptations.
But on the positive side insider reports suggest that the film is being liked by critics and audiences who are getting special screenings of the film. Big names like Sudha Murthy have come forward and shared very positive reviews for the film but this hints at a PR manipulation to some.
As of the trends now, the film might hardly make a 7-8 crore opening. But if the insider reports are to be believed it might gain momentum eventually with word of mouth and be a front runner for critical acclaim.
