Pakistani Kids: Sridevi’s ‘Mom’ Stalled to Play Safe?

Sridevi’s comeback movie in Bollywood, ‘English Vinglish’ had been a decent hit at box-office which left yesteryear audiences asking for more from Sridevi. But, her next Hindi movie ‘Mom’ produced by her husband Boney Kapoor is taking longer than expected.

There are reports saying that the shooting of the film was wrapped up long back in the month of June. But, Boney Kapoor is trying to play safe by not making haste to release the film. The reason is the two Pakistani actors who played Sridevi’s kids in the film.

We know the ongoing tensions in India between politicians and cine-folks with regard to having Pakistani actors in Indian films. Though the actors were roped in before ‘Uri terror attacks’, one can’t be certain that the film might not run into troubled waters.
