Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is all set to team up with Prabhas for his next big project, Spirit. The film’s official announcement video was recently released and quickly made headlines — but not for the reason you’d expect.
The video introduced Prabhas as “India’s Biggest Superstar”, a claim that sparked strong reactions across social media, especially from Shah Rukh Khan’s fanbase.
Fans of SRK flooded the internet with comparisons, highlighting his unmatched global influence and three-decade-long career filled with classics. Many pointed out that SRK’s international appeal and consistent box office dominance remain unparalleled in Indian cinema.
SRK supporters argued that calling Prabhas “India’s Biggest Superstar” or Ram Charan “Global Star” is premature. They claim that Baahubali remains Prabhas’s only major hit, while RRR is viewed as Rajamouli’s triumph more than Ram Charan’s.
This debate has reignited the long-running rivalry between SRK and Prabhas fan clubs. The tension mirrors their earlier clash during the 2023 Dunki vs Salaar box-office battle, which turned messy online.
Back then, Dunki dominated in the Hindi belt, while Salaar earned more globally, keeping the “Biggest Superstar” debate alive.
Now, with SRK’s King expected to release in 2026 or 2027 and Prabhas’s Spirit and Fauzi slated for similar timelines, fans are already speculating about another potential showdown.
Whether these films clash or not, this rivalry may eventually settle the debate over who truly deserves the title of India’s Biggest Superstar.
