SRK’s King Affected by India-Pakistan Tensions?

King directed by Siddharth Anand was supposed to start shooting on May 16. But with the current India-Pakistan tensions—even after the ceasefire—the shoot might be delayed.

The team is waiting for things to settle down before they head to the set.

Sources close to the film say the team was preparing for a mid-May start. SRK and Suhana Khan will be in the lead roles.

Abhishek Bachchan will play the villain and Deepika Padukone will have a special appearance. The script is still being worked upon to give Suhana a strong debut.

Although a ceasefire was announced on May 10, the situation is still tense. That’s why the shoot might be pushed to June or July.

Filmmakers are not taking any risks especially with a big action film that involves huge sets and crew movement.

This isn’t the only film to be delayed. Thug Life is also on hold due to the uncertainty. Filmmakers are choosing safety and stability over fixed timelines.

A delay is disappointing for the fans but the makers want to ensure everything is right before they start shooting.

The excitement for King is still there and this pause might just help in delivering a better film when it finally hits the floor.
