In a recent podcast, actress Kriti Sanon has talked about the futility of awards and how they are mostly for PR. She talked about how every OTT channel is coming up with an award show of their own and most of these awards do not have any credibility.
Netizens have pointed out that this is utter hypocrisy as Kriti Sanon herself is used to attending such award shows and she has collected some of them as well.
Kriti has won three such awards, namely ‘Most Stylish Entertainer’, ‘Stylish Actor (female) Reader’s Choice’ and ‘Most Stylish Actor Female’. And apart from these, she has been nominated for these awards numerous times.
Kriti had been subjected to trolling and criticism when she got the ‘Nothing To Hide’ award in the Star Screen Awards. The award not only fails to make any sense but is very clearly a PR attempt.
Netizens think that Kriti Sanon should refrain from criticizing awards that she herself takes and is proud of. Fans cannot make any meaning out of a ‘Nothing To Hide’ award and if Kriti has taken that, why is she speaking negatively of it.
Let us see whether she stands corrected in her statements and refrains herself from going to any such awards shows anymore.
