Ibrahim Ali Khan is all set to make his major on-screen debut in Bollywood with Netflix film Nadaaniyan. He will be sharing screen with Khushi Kapoor who is still recovering from the failure of Loveyapa at the box office.
Ibrahim will also be seen in Sarzameen alongside Kajol soon. Maddock Films have also signed him for Diler, directed by Kunal Deshmukh.
A teaser for the film was recently released on social media in which the film made a reference to the iconic film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. But it also had a modern touch, the movie revives Archana Puran Singh in her iconic role of Mrs. Braganza.
When she asks students to define love, Ibrahim’s character Arjun says love is an arrangement. In the iconic scene from KKHH, Shah Rukh Khan calls love synonyms to friendship “Pyaar dosti hai”.
There is not much buzz around the release of Nadaaniyan set to hit Netflix on 7 March – many feel that he should have made a debut at the box office. Even the songs have not had any good reception from the fans, many have already called it a flop project like Archies.
