Sunny Deol’s much-awaited comeback to the theatres with Jaat was expected to be a huge hit at the box officebut things are not how the makers expected them to be.
The action entertainer opened with a mediocre first-day collection of 9 crores at the box office but everyone remained optimistic as the film had a huge 5-day first weekend consisting of holidays.
The film collected 7 crores on the second day and 9.5 crores on its third day. The fourth day being a Sunday, the film is looking to enter double digits for the first time.
With the current status of the film at the box office, predictions are that it might collect around 15-16 crores on its fourth day.
While fans thought the film could have done better, it is expected to earn around 50 crores in its first weekend despite having several holidays.
Though the collection is not massive or phenomenal, it is also not a disappointing showing for Sunny Deol’s action avatar.
What is a huge advantage for the film is that it still has another day in its 5-day long weekend on Monday as Ambedkar Jayanti falls on April 14th.
The film has opened to decent reviews from the audiences and they are loving it but the collections need to pace up to reach the 100-crore mark in the upcoming days.
