Just as Akshay Kumar’s hope for making Housefull 5 his biggest box office comeback were taking shape the film has come into trouble. YouTube has taken down the teaser of Housefull 5 over copyright issues.
This happened because of the song Laal Paari that Yo Yo Honey Singh has composed for Sajid Nadiadwala’s production house behind Housefull 5. A third party named Mofusion Music Studio has claimed their copyright over the song and put crores spent on Laal Paari to waste.
The makers seemed to be under the impression that Dinesh Productions had the rights to the song and bought it immediately as they liked it a lot. But it is being claimed that Honey Singh has sold the rights of the same song to more than one production house with Mofusion Music Studio being the newest entry.
Even Zee Music was reported to have the rights to the song. The issue will take some time to resolve but fans are afraid that this might hamper the June release of the song.
Many feel that Akshay’s hope for a big box office collection after a long time has come under threat with this controversy.
