Actress Harassed by Drunken Director

Casting couch indeed exists in the film industry though all the actors don’t confide to the reality. Talking about one such horrific situation in her career, Salman Khan’s screen sister who featured in ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo’ and many sensible movies had something to share #MeToo.

When she was a newcomer to the industry, the director of her film used to harass her with his text messages, indirect advances and eve teasing kind of sorts. One day, he even came to her room drunk and asked her to hug him. This left her frightened but then she advises matter to the executive producer and got herself into a secure zone.

Besides this, Swara Bhaskar had faced many incidents when people make advances but then, when she didn’t compromise, she lost offers. Nevertheless, Swara advices it’s better to lose offers than to end up lying on a casting couch.

It’s the necessity of the hour to speak up on such matters as things related to any individual’s dignity and individuality must never be compromised. What say?
