Dhanush All Set to Score Hit with Darkest Love Story?

Tere Ishk Mein has received a 12A certificate from the British Board of Film Classification. The film features Dhanush and Kriti Sanon and is directed by Aanand L Rai. The certificate cites moderate violence, threat, injury detail, language, and suicide references. The film has a dark tone for a love story.

The runtime is 2 hours 47 minutes and 23 seconds. This makes it a relatively long romantic drama. The official synopsis describes it as a romantic drama about a psychology student trying to rehabilitate a volatile young man. The concept adds psychological depth to the story.

Kriti Sanon plays the psychologist opposite Dhanush’s troubled character. This setup may appeal to viewers who enjoy intense emotional drama. However, the darker tone could limit mass appeal if it outweighs the romance. A similar idea was seen in Atrangi Re, which had mixed responses.

Tere Ishk Mein is produced by Gulshan Kumar’s T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions. It is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Aanand L Rai, and Himanshu Sharma. The music is by A.R. Rahman with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The film carries strong creative names.

The worldwide release is set for 28 November 2025. It will arrive in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Advance booking opened on November 24. The start has been reasonably strong.

By the next morning around 10,000 tickets were sold for day one across PVR Inox and Cinepolis. Social media buzz appears higher than the actual sales. Trade experts feel the film could open in double digits if this momentum holds for a few more days. It may outperform some recent mid range releases by Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn.

The final outcome will depend heavily on word of mouth once the film opens. Audience response will decide whether Dhanush scores a major hit with this darkest love story.
