Fans look forward to a strong box office clash, and with Dhurandhar releasing on 5th December, the stage is set. Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, released on 28th November and has already turned into a surprise hit.
In five days, Tere Ishk Mein collected over 65 crores, and the makers want to continue shows without major reduction. Distributor Anil Thadani (AA Films) has requested solid showcasing for week two. Single screens are open to giving one show to Tere Ishk Mein and the rest to Dhurandhar.
However, Jio Studios has declined to share even one show, as the Dhurandhar team demands full single-screen dominance for the first week. The tussle has now reached multiplex chains. AA Films asked for fixed show counts, while Dhurandhar wants maximum screens everywhere.
Negotiations continue, and both sides wait for a solution. Due to this standoff, advance bookings for Dhurandhar are not fully open yet. Bookings are expected to clear by Thursday noon once terms settle between both teams.
Some say Dhurandhar appears insecure, while others insist they want fair visibility for a new release. With rising ticket prices, most viewers end up picking one film over two. The question now is whether Tere Ishk Mein slows Dhurandhar at the box office.
