Top Director’s Struggle at Box Office Continues

Director Murgadoss made a women-centric movie ‘Akira’ starring Bollywood heroine Sonakshi Sinha, showing the protagonist in a powerful role. The director is struggling at box office to make the film comes under the ‘hit’ tag.

The film is said to be made with an overall budget of Rs. 30 crore, including the promotional costs. As the film already pocketed Rs. 15 crores for the satellite rights, another Rs. 15 crore plus collections from theares will make the film to sit in the safe zone, out of the flop tag.

After two days, the film has collected Rs. 10.45 crores. So, another Rs. 10 crores will land the movie in the break even zone. With the low pre-release and post-release buzz, will the movie leave the buyers in profits? The next two days are going to decide whether or not the film registers a hit.
