When compared to the original Bengali movie ‘Rajkahini’, the Vidya Balan starrer Bollywood movie ‘Begum Jaan‘ would have less sex. That could mean fewer sex scenes or toned down sexual scenes. A group of sex-workers rebel against the government for drawing LOC line passing through their whorehouse.

As this story happens in a whorehouse and it is about the fight of a madam of a brothel against the line drawn between India and Pakistan during partition in 1947, sex scenes are naturally expected. The fear of CBFC’s scissors made the director of ‘Begum Jaan’ to have less sex is the hearsay about the film.
