Soon after, several celebrities shared negative experiences about auditioning for Shanoo. Allegations ranged from making an actress perform a crying scene in a busy restaurant to others feeling uncomfortable during auditions, sparking a wave of criticism across social media platforms.
Many online users accused The Hollywood Reporter of deleting these critical comments from the YouTube video. They argued that while some actors had positive experiences, those with negative ones also deserved an equal platform to voice their concerns.
Deleting such feedback, they said, would not erase the stories but rather highlight indifference. However, it later emerged that these remarks were actually posted under an Instagram clip from the video, not the original YouTube upload.
