Yuvraj Singh Biopic: Flop Idea, Flop Cast

Sports biopics have been a hit or miss at the theatres over the years. While Sushant Singh Rajput portrayed MS Dhoni brilliantly and the film also achieved a lot of success, the same thing couldn’t be replicated with Sachin: A Billion Dreams, 83 and Shabaash Mithu.

Up comes Yuvraj Singh, who is known for his aggressive personality on the field and his unforgettable six sixes in an over making him one of the most decorated cricketing talents. His brave fight against Cancer also inspired a lot of youngsters to never give up.

As his biopic might have a lot to showcase, Siddhant Chaturvedi is rumored to play the main lead in Yuvraj’s biopic. In an Ask Me Anything session on the actor’s Instagram, he was asked about his dream role.

Siddhant took no time in sharing Yuvraj’s photo in an Indian jersey with a Lion emoji at the bottom. The project was announced earlier by T-Series showcasing the iconic journey of Yuvraj Singh. As for Siddhant Chaturvedi, he hasn’t been in any high-octane film despite giving good performances over the years.

It might be a risky move to cast him as the main lead but if everything fits perfectly, the film might be a box office success. It is very early to predict how the film will perform under Siddhant Chaturvedi but it would be a huge task for the Gully Boy actor to portray Yuvraj on the big screen.
