According to the latest reports, IMAX tickets for the film went on sale exactly a year in advance and promptly sold out in record time.
For the unversed, the original date of release for The Odyssey is July 17, 2026. Now that its tickets are already sold out, that too almost a year in advance, it’s more of a historical record.
If reports are to be believed, more than 25,000 IMAX tickets were snapped up across North America within just 24 hours of release. Several key locations are also reporting fully booked shows for opening weekend, and we are still 365 days away from premiere night!
The Odyssey features big names like Tom Holland and Matt Damon, who will be playing some powerful roles. That’s what’s made it one of the most anticipated releases for 2026.
